for the new millennium. The story begins
with the news received by the young priest
in July 1958. While on a kayak tour with
friends, Karol Wojtyla receives Cardinal
Wyszynski’s summons. He leaves his friends
and returns to his office at the city: he
has just been appointed Bishop.
